Firion: Are you okay?
Firion: Wasn't that Golbez of the troops of Chaos?
Cecil: He is also my elder brother.

Firion: Come on, Cecil, we don't have time to rest. We'll take the next path together.

Golbez: I am your shadow. I am one who has been stained by the darkness and can never belong to the light.

Golbez: You disappoint me, Cecil.
Golbez: The everlasting Crystal did not shine for you.

Golbez: I am... Cecil's enemy. For that reason, I don't wish to abandon him again.
Jecht: Abandoning.... I guess there are some of us who just can't be helped.
Golbez: You are right. And what have you abandoned?
Cosmos: Can you not rid yourself of doubt?
Cecil: Cosmos...
Cecil: I have no idea what I should do.
Cecil: I thought that everyone was working to obtain the Crystals.
Cecil: That by our powers combined*, we would be victorious.

Cosmos: Everything will be fine. You will surely find the Crystal soon.
Cosmos: Do not worry.
Cosmos: Do you think that relying upon someone else's power, and uniting your power with another's are the same?
Cosmos: Surely, you will find your path to that radiance. You are more than capable.
Cecil: Cosmos, that is...
Cosmos: The answer is within you.
Cecil: I...
Cecil: ...will keep going.
Cecil: I will go.... to the place where the person I believe in will surely give me the answer...!
Cecil: (after beating an imitation of himself) I understand now. The person I have been fighting all along is myself...
Golbez: The worried aura that had engulfed you has changed... It seems to finally be resolved.
Cecil: Ah, I will return to my friends.
Golbez: What is this?
Cecil: Brother, the strength I have been counting on came not from my friends or this journey.
Cecil: Certainly, my strength comes from everyone. From when they encourage me, and when they worry about me.
Cecil: So that even now, I can feel everyone's strength as my own!
Cecil: When everyone bands together, a new power will be born....
Cecil: So that is what I will believe in!
Golbez: It seems to me, that you are still conflicted.
Cecil: Brother....
Golbez: You are a knight. You must push past these feelings.
Golbez: Prove yourself with your sword, my brother!
So, finally, we have Cecil going Paldadin. It's about damn time!
Cecil: I fight for my friends.
Cecil: Both darkness and light are my guiding powers, therefore...

Cecil: I will continue to believe.
Emperor: ...I see. So that is why he let that one go free.
Exdeath: That is what I finally discovered. Truly, he was manipulated by the traitor's heart he possesses.
Emperor: It might only be a matter of time before he discovers his own hidden light.
Emperor: We need to strike soon then. Before the divine dragon starts to move, we must join it....

ExDeath disappears then, and Golbez comes back to talk to Cecil.

You see a scene between Cecil and Golbez, then the fight begins. He's level 12 and has a summon.
After the fight, Cecil receives his Crystal after another scene with Golbez. You also see a scene showing Tidus, Squall and Cloud in Dimensonal Castle as "Another Episode"
